PRESS SAMPLE
I have new lovelies to share from Quixotic Polish. Gems Uncovered is a collection of four jewel toned polishes. They're packed with Ultra Chrome Chameleon (UCC) flakies to create a gorgeous gem stone effect.
ANDALUSITE
Andalusite is a stone grey jelly with UCC flakies and holographic microglitter. I love the squishiness of Quixotic's jelly formula. Andalusite applies quite sheer. In fact, the first coat was so transparent that I think you could use it as a topper if desired. I wanted the color to be more opaque, so I used three coats plus a top coat. I recommend applying a grey base color first if you want to achieve full opacity. It's a very pretty polish, but I think the color looks more muted on my skin tone. It works well as a nice neutral or office-friendly shade.
PYROPE
Pyrope is a rich, juicy berry magenta jelly with UCC flakies and holograhic microglitter. GORGEOUS! I'm in love with this polish even before opening the bottle. The magenta color alone has me swooning. Then throw in the vibrant blue flakies?! Lordt! Mary, the creator of Quixotic Polish, has really outdone herself with this one. It's definitely a new favorite and I think it's a must have.
I applied two buttery coats, but would also wear Pyrope as a single coat. The polish is lighter and leans more pink with one coat, while the color becomes richer and leans more berry with two coats. I didn't bother adding a top coat as the polish is naturally glossy on its own.
TSAVORITE
Tsavorite is an emerald green jelly with UCC flakies and holographic microglitter. It's such a beautiful green. I can see myself pulling this color out during the holiday season. I'm wearing two coats and opted for a top coat even though it could be worn without one.
LAZURITE
Lazurite is a brilliant sapphire blue jelly with UCC flakies and holographic microglitter.

I died then was immediately revived because this polish gives me life! Lazurite is an absolute showstopper. It's galaxy nails in a bottle. Two coats and I added a top coat to make the chameleon flakies really POP. I can't stop staring at my nails.
